2 Paws Up: Homemade Frosty Paws Doggie Dessert

A few months ago I was pursuing Pinterest, as I do daily, and I came across a recipe for homemade Frosty Paws, a frozen dog treat. I’d actually never bought Frosty Paws for Sofi, but Minnie loved them, and I knew Sofi would too. The recipe was so simple that I knew I’d rather make it at home with my own natural ingredients than buy it in the store. And luckily, Lori decided she was in the mood to “cook” for the pups this morning.

Usually when I feature a recipe, I take LOTS of photos, beginning with the ingredients and continuing with step by step instructions. Since Lori was the one in the kitchen today, I only have photos of the finished product. But I know you guys can picture this easy recipe.

Ingredients:
32 oz. plain yogurt
1 mashed ripe banana
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons honey

Directions: Mix all ingredients together with a hand mixer or in a blender. Place “batter” in ice cube trays and freeze.

That’s it! Super easy!

It was a really hot day today, a perfect day for this tasty, cold treat. I’ve never really given Sofi anything that I made especially for her before, but I knew that she would love it, and I wasn’t wrong, as you can see for yourself.

I love that these treats are bite-sized because it’s just a little taste of something sweet, yet they’re still healthy.

Making these in the ice cube trays make them easy to share and store.

It only took a couple of licks for Sofi to decide this was one of those “don’t look up until the bowl is empty” sort of treats.

This shot tells the entire tale, doesn’t it?

Sofi enjoyed this easy recipe so much that I am inspired to make more recipes for her.  I’ll post the results & reviews of each one.
